The bushcraft knife design

My bushcraft knife is based on the woodlore knife which was designed by Ray Mears and made by Alan Wood. There are things about a bushcraft knife that are not the same other knives

This knife shines as a carving and fire preparation tool

The bushcraft knife design: FAQ

Scandi Grind

Scandi grinds excel at woodcarving, cutting, carving and splitting duties. A scandi grind is also easier to sharpen

Sharp point

This is specifically helpful for "drilling holes". i.e. you can use it to create the divot in the base board when creating a bow drill (for fire starting)

Sharp spine

The sharp spine assists in striking ferro rods and can also be useful as a scraper creating pulp for firestarting and removing material when creating cordage
